At Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH), one of the robotics projects is EveR, a lifelike female android with speech recognition, voice synthesis and gesture expression technology allowing for more sophisticated communication and interaction with humans. EveR is capable of 20 different facial emotions such as fear, joy and anger.
